Responsibilities
• Reporting to the Track Lead / Team Lead
• Ensuring that the processes are adhered to
• Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
• Handling tickets / requests
• Helping team members in case of Issues/Technical Problems
• Knowledge of ITIL best practice on incident management, change management and problem management
Technical Skills required:
• Experience in Datacenter management
• Experience in Install, configure and upgrade ESX/ESXi 3.x/4.x/5.x hosts
• Working knowledge in vCenter, vSphere client, Web client and Putty
• Create, configure new VMs and Deploy VMs from Templates and clones
• Managing VMs snapshot, backup and restore
• Adding hosts in cluster
• Creating standard virtual switch and managing port groups
• Migration of port group from standard switch to DVS
• Create, extend and managing VMFS/NFS Datastore
• Proficiency in VMware High-Availability, vMotion, Storage vMotion, DRS, vCenter and vCenter Update Manager
• Performing P2V and V2V migration
• Installing security patches, functional patches and version upgrades using update manager
• Day to day operation on Server, Storage, Network and VMs Service Requests/Incidents/Change management
• Performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to SLAs
• Working knowledge in installing, configuring and maintaining Win2K, Win2K3, W2k8/W2k12 and NT4.0
• Planning Backup/Restore strategy for 24x7 operation support
• Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time
• Creating Technical support documents
• Maintain Compliance with Corporate Security Policies
• Work together with the security team, identify the server vulnerability issues and resolve them
• Experience in Server hardware platforms and Storage Management Techniques in iSCSI/FC/FCOE.
• Citrix/Windows Virtualization would be additional advantage
