Job description

*** Role Responsibility
• As the Junior ServiceNow Developer / ServiceNow Administrator, you will be an important member of the ServiceNow Applications Development team with the opportunity to input into the design and develop business solutions, as well as supporting the various Business Units in the day to day BAU administration activities required to successfully manage the platform.
• The Junior ServiceNow Developer / ServiceNow Administrator will be responsible for managing and resolving technically challenging incidents within the ServiceNow support team focusing on the ServiceNow automation applications.
• This will include being the initial point of escalation with the Service Desk and other key Business Departments. The successful candidate will be able to quickly gain an understanding of the ServiceNow platform. This is a customer-facing role and therefore it requires strong inter-personal skills, particularly as there is a high level of telephone contact that is required to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.

Job requirement

* Experience
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack.
• Experience working with dynamic HTML components: AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML, XHTML.
• Must have basic object oriented programming skills (Java strongly preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to technical problems.
• Ability to work with high-value customer administrators and developers.
• Excellent time management skills.

* Preferred Skills
• Working understanding of JavaScript.
• Understanding of remote administration via SSH, SNMP, WMI, Powershell.
• A fundamental understanding of IT service management and the ITIL business process.
