Overview of job

- Responsible for development projects and initiatives which will include new functional requirements, process tuning and "Break" fixes.
- Support changes/applications post implementation by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance releases as needed.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other offshore Application Developers and Supporter on the teams.
- Participate in all aspects of Application Development life cycle.
- Participate in peer code reviews.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent relevant experience in mainframe programming.
- Have at least 3 years of experience with large mainframe based applications built with CICS, COBOL, IMS-DB, JCL, DB2, VSAM
- Other Mainframe Technologies that would be nice to have/added plus: MQ Series, Assembler.
- Experience and knowledge of change management, implementation planning and release management.
- Experience and knowledge of in code management and versioning methodologies.
- General experience of logistics not required but preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Familiar with Agile Methodology
