Augen is seeking a Software Developer who can be considered an all-rounder, one who is able to pick up various internal-facing projects as well as helping support our delivery team in both software and IT support services.
Good .NET software development skills are fundamental to the role (ASP.NET, HTML, javascript + SQL Database skills).
The role also requires you to learn about IT infrastructure and networking; as a portion of your time will also be used to support some of the day-to-day IT support activities for the team. This may include escalating issues to our third party vendors. Note: IT Network & Infrastructure experience is not fundamental to the role; as it can be taught if an individual does not possess this skill area.
This is role is an excellent way to put your programming skills to practice, whilst also diversifying your portfolio with some IT knowledge.
Software Development (70%)
- Develop and maintain in-house web solutions – mostly in .Net technologies.
- Managing the automation deployment processes, currently using Octopus, and working with the development team to assist them with deployments for their client engagements.
Network and Infrastructure (30%)
- To manage the internal network and infrastructure.
- Supporting end users with any network or infrastructure problems.
- Escalating higher priority issues to the NZ team and/or to third party vendors in VN.
- Advocating security awareness in the company; and performing regular audit checks on our network.

Your Skills and Experience
- 3+ years’ practical experience in Software Development.
- Software Development Skills including ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, SQL Server, Web Services
- Demonstrated ability in all aspects of the System Development Lifecycle and other methodologies
- Good understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
- Strong command of the English language both verbally and written.
- Excellent people skills.
Nice to have:
- IT network and infrastructure experience is preferable.
- Network and Infrastructure Skills including Azure, Virtualisation, Veeam, GPO, WSUS, Cisco Firewall
