The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a track record of working with a technology support environment and an appreciation of Infrastructure support using windows technologies. This role will develop from Trainee Engineer through to 3rd line subject matter expert in numerous network or storage technologies and infrastructure systems with hands on and professional training therefore a desire to learn in a fast paced environment is essential

• A Strong desire to learn new enterprise technologies and progress to being a 3rd line network or Storage subject matter expert
• Good Knowledge to 1st and 2nd line level across networking or Storage technologies (SAN, Switch, Routers, Fabric)
• Previous knowledge and hands on administration skill on either networks or storage hardware
• Good knowledge of network or storage protocols (Switching, routing, iSCSI etc)
• Previous experience in 1st or 2nd line support role
• Ability to perform technical troubleshooting in a structured and methodical way across network infrastructure
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent eye for detail and strong written skills
Advantage skills:
• Technical knowledge of any Network or storage virtualisation technology
• Any vendor certifications across network and storage technologies and specialisms (CCNA, CCNA Sec, Netapp, HP3par, IBM etc)
• Exposure to different vendor network and storage hardware (Cisco, HP, Huawei, Netapp, HP, IBM)

• Desire and drive to learn new enterprise technologies in a fast paced environment
• Excellent eye for technical detail
• Good English communications skills, both oral and written
• Confident character with the ability to build relationships and be a supporting team member
• Commitment to exceed customers’ expectations.
