YOUR MISSION
As a System and Database Administrator, you will join our IT platform service to:
- Monitor SQL requests submitted on integration environments
- Optimize (such as adding Indexes), write hints to improve and open JIRA to ask for queries to be put in cache.
- Detect side-effects from Hibernate (such as ‘machine-gun‘ type requests due to lazy loading on large collections)
- Assist developers to write proper SQL statements fast
- Help Business Intelligence team to write and optimize requests for reporting and up-comming Business Intelligence
This is the job for DBA on the application side and not for systems task such as set-up, back-up, monitoring.

We expect you to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- At least 6-7 years of professional experience in system and database management especially Oracle environment
- Business orientation mindset
- Demonstrated experience of Oracle performance monitoring and automation via scripting
- Detailed understanding of and strong experience with:
* Linux operating systems (Oracle Linux, Debian, Linux shell scripts
* VMWare (esxi)
* Relational database environments (Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL Server)
- Strong analytical skills and a systematic, structured approach
- Self-motivated and directed, keen on attention to details
- Proficient communication skills in English
- Know how to use check_mk and vcenter would be a plus
