Great career opportunity for Public Cloud Technical Specialists who will be trained to become the specialists in their field.

For one of our clients, TOG recruitment is looking for Public Cloud Technical Specialists in Ho Chi Minh City. This particular role provides technical support, management and design of Data Centre Services and its customer’s server, operating system, virtualization and Exchange mail infrastructures hosted within the Public Cloud or hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, private cloud).

Our client is Europe’s leading privately owned IT services organization, with presence in the UK, France, Spain, Romania and Vietnam. As part of their planned strategic growth and expansion, it’s very attractive to apply right now.

Working closely with the existing technical and operational teams in the UK and Romania, the Vietnam operation will be providing 24/7 support for critical systems in customer environments across Europe, working on a fixed European support hours basis (13:00 – 22:00 VN time estimated)

- Monitoring and maintaining Infrastructure environments hosted within Public cloud environments to agreed service levels

- Managing Public cloud customer incidents and problems appropriately within agreed service levels

- Creating and performing authorized changes to customer environments hosted within public cloud environments, attending CABs where necessary

- Perform root cause analysis on reoccurring incidents across customer public cloud infrastructures

- Assist engagement with projects to ensure design of Public cloud technical solutions are in line with the requirements of the customer

- Act as a technical escalation point for major incidents related to the service delivery from the datacentre, hybrid cloud and public cloud customer instances

- Ensure technical documentation is completed and updated to professional standards

- Scheduled maintenance and patching of Infrastructure environments as necessary within public cloud instances

- Contribute to the continuous improvement programmes of all technology platforms across the datacenter

- Call logging and escalation with third party vendors (such as Microsoft, AWS, VMware, Mimecast or Citrix) 

- Contributing to delivering team performance

- Adhere to all company policies and processes as communicated by line management in accordance with corporate ISO accreditation levels.

Essential requirements

- Proven working experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms supporting and designing large scale enterprise public cloud offerings

- Leveraging cloud capabilities for network security, data security, and encryption

- Proficient in supporting large multi-tier, hybrid and public cloud environments (Azure, AWS and O365)

- Strong background with core network and compute technologies in large-scale deployments

- Minimum 4-5 years’ experience providing support to enterprise level clients in at least TWO of the below numbered Infrastructure areas

- Technical knowledge of virtualization technologies (vCenter, vSphere, ESXi, DRS, vMotion, HA, FT, SRM, SCVMM

- Hands on Technical Knowledge and hands on experience in the below technologies or variants of in an enterprise level support environment:

      + Azure and AWS Service offerings and technologies ( Amazon EC2, VPC, S3, Cloudwatch, Systems manager AWS/Azure Backup, Azure site recovery, Azure portalstorsimple, Azure DNS, VPN gateway)

      + Microsoft server products (Windows 2003 to 2012 R2)

      + Microsoft AD (Active Directory) and integrated elements/technologies such as DNS, GPO, DHCP, AD DS and RBAC, DFS, DFSR

      + Advanced technical knowledge of Exchange technologies (Exchange, Office 365, ISA / TMG / Forefront, Symantec EV, Mimecast, Websense

- Able to work as a member of a team but also manage up, across and down where required

- Ability to troubleshoot complex, technical, multi-site and multi-disciplinary problems and incidents 

- Document new and existing processes

- Ability to use the Service Desk tool to manage incidents/changes/problems tickets

- Good English communications skills, both oral and written. Ideally, experience of working for an international company with travel to and from Vietnam

- Customer facing experience as you will be working with technical, process and customer facing documentation.

Desirable requirements

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred

- ITIL qualification or awareness of the ITIL processes

- Technical knowledge and understanding of End User VDI and virtualization technologies (XenApp, XenDesktop, VMware Horizon, VMware View, Netscaler, App-V, AppSense, CAG, CSG, EdgeSite, Director, PVS/MCS, Thin Clients)

- SCCM including patch management, build image and application deployment

- Experience with Monitoring, Automation and Service provider ticketing toolsets (SCOM, ServiceNow, Remedy, Network monitoring)

- Scripting and Automation knowledge in Public and hybrid cloud environments
