We are looking for a PHP Developer who can work on both backend and frontend

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Communication
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with marketing and IT departments on a formal, informal, written and verbal level.
• Working closely with both the design, project and agency teams to achieve the best possible results from conception right through to delivery.
• Provide timely resolution to reported problems with existing assets.

Design
• Create website layout/user interface by using a mix of PHP programming, MySQL, HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript (YUI, GWT, Prototype, JQuery, etc) and full stack development.
• Build websites, prototypes and applications using the latest front­end technologies.

Implementation
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
• Create and maintain software documentation.

Optimisation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site.
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
• Ensuring all work adheres to current industry best practice.
• Manage version control and user settings to maintain security.

Other
• Self-motivated, goal oriented and able to work in a team environment.
• Use common sense at all times and pay close attention to detail.
• Committed, enthusiastic, sincere, trustworthy, conscientious and resilient..

PHP (Critical):
- Can work on both backend and frontend
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
- Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Paypal etc)
- Experience with building restful JSON services
- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks
- Familiar with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
- Symfony knowledge is a big plus

Android (Desirable)
- Some experience in Android app development
- Experience with third party libraries and API's (Google maps, Retrofit...)
- Ability to work with back-end API's to retrieve and update information securely
- Ability to make great user experiences on mobile UI
