You will be responsible for guiding the overall direction, process improvement, implement best practices.
The role includes:

QA
• Being responsible for the testing resources and outcomes of each software release
• Resource management and planning
• Planning, deploying, and managing the testing effort for any given engagement / release
• Test scheduling and progress reporting in conjunction with Onshore Test Manager
• Preparing test cases and related testing documentation for new and existing The Company’s products
• Evolving and refining the team’s testing practices
• Implementing best practices in testing
• Building, implementing and directing automated quality assurance principles and maintaining quality of delivery
• Collaborating with all key stakeholders to ensure the QA vision is understood and followed
• Conducting regular reviews of the testing teams’ quality and processes
• Mentoring, training and motivating testing staff
• Providing guidance and oversight to test leads and team members.
• Educate and enforce development best practices to deliver quality product Example: Unit Testing, Code Coverage etc.
• Organizing technical training and application overview session for new members joining the team

BA
• Ensuring requirements specifications are fully understood by testers and developers
• Collaborating with the BA team in Australia to clarify specifications
• Reviewing the quality of specifications

LIMITS OF AUTHORITY
• The Company’s quality of deliverables and best practices. Testing resources in Vietnam will be directly reporting to this candidate/role.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• QA innovator with experience across multiple projects and assessing and implementing cutting-edge QA automation solutions
• Advanced knowledge of Testing best practices, processes and methodologies
• Experience guiding testing departments, testing functions, managing large and complex activities and processes
• Mature and professional individual who is self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Excellent communicator, influencing and negotiation skills to get management buy-in on ideas and concepts
• Able to communicate with all levels of management and peers within the organization
• Intermediary knowledge of the General Insurance industry
• Proven ability to work under pressure and with conflicting demands
• 10+ years testing experience
• 3+ years of managing testing projects and implementing best practices.
