Summary:
This position is responsible for serving as a technical expert; designing, developing and maintaining high
profile application software and software tools for large projects and complex HTML5/JavaScript applications.
This position is also responsible for adhering to and promoting GrapeCity’s vision and values by performing
duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team member and supporting the continued growth of the
company.
Primary Duties:
- Design/spec/code new software and software tools; maintain and modify existing software and
software tools; and test, document and debug all work
- Provide leadership on projects and guidance to lower level Software Engineers
- Assist in customer support and with other teams/groups as needed
- Other duties as assigned in support of the organization

Your Skills and Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of software development experience
- Experience with Front-end Application development
- Experience with TypeScript or Object-oriented programming
- Experience with JS frameworks (Angular, React, etc)
Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- In depth knowledge of software development tools such as Visual Studio
- In depth knowledge of Web standards
- In depth knowledge of the browser DOM
- In depth knowledge of JavaScript (ECMAScript 5+)
- In depth knowledge of web technologies, HTML5 and CSS
- In depth knowledge of browser dev tools
- Comfortable working on a large-scale project
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent programming skills with multiple languages including but not limited to C++, C#, VB.Net, VB,
JavaScript, TypeScript
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong sense of urgency regarding business concerns
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent prioritization skills and task management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to successfully execute multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines

- Working under general direction, must make logically sound choices and prioritize work in order to
meet defined goals

- Provide timely updates on tasks to the reporting manager; escalate risk/concern that can affect the
delivery immediately to the reporting manager or superiors.
- Remain up to date on the latest technologies, consistently strive to learn more and improve skills
- Provide guidance and leadership to lower level Software Engineers as a technical expert
- Adhere to and promote GrapeCity’s values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with
being a team member and supporting the continued growth of the company

- Maintaining a high quality of development (minimal bugs and minimal rework) on the most complex
applications
