Primary Objectives
- Day-to-day operation and maintenance of Technology Wintel Server Infrastructure and services based on Virtualization platform associated processes that ensure the ongoing confidentiality, availability and integrity of Information assets within VIB.
- Identify and record operational risks as they become known.
Business Operations:
- Monitor and maintain the Server Wintel infrastructure which encompasses the Pure Flex System, HP Virtualization and Physical Server Wintel x 86 across the whole organization with respect to service excellence, operation quality, service availabilities and mentoring.
- Management the Window Application Service for incident response and escalation and compliance checking.
- Management and reporting Window Application Service performance evaluation and optimization.
ESX and vSphere Implementation & management
- Designing and deploying virtualized infrastructures, ideally with a special emphasis on VMware vSphere.
- Sound working knowledge on VMware HA DRS environment.
- Assessing, planning and performing physical to virtual server conversions (P2Vs).
- Perform Capacity Planning exercises with good knowledge of VMware Capacity Planner tools.
- Experience in backup and recovery of Virtual machines and virtual servers.
- Experience with VDI (VMware view) with a proven record of implementation and support knowledge on Windows, Linux and Storage is a plus.
- Install patches and updates as required by Customer’s Vulnerability Team or in accordance with Supplier security threat level.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining Windows 20012, Windows 2008, Windows 2003 servers
- Installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting Exchange Servers, AD system 2010, 2016 and SharePoint.
- Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system skills related to Microsoft production.
- MS Patch administration (planning and deployment)
- DR testing, Maintain, administer, and provide necessary automated tools and processes for systems management to the extent available.
- Root cause analysis / Incident Management/Change Management (Planning & Execution) + Capacity / Architectural Management
- Keep abreast of the latest technologies and understand the commercial drivers for your work.
- Support in the designs and implementation of projects in respect of IT Infrastructure.

Qualification & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science – Mandatory
- Windows certification e.g. MCSA, MCSE, MCITP & VCP for VMware (Implementation, Designed, Architecture) VCP –DCA, VCAP-DCD.
- At least 3 years experiences in the banking and financial services industry.
- Experience in IT Governance, Risk and Compliance – Preferred
- Experience in IBM, HP, Dell, Cisco server system – Preferred
