The Business Analysts Manager is a critical role for our client’s success and is a primary interface to our clients. You ensure the team of Business Analyst has a clear understanding of the clients’ needs and that the quality of the requirements captured are cohesive, complete, consistent, unambiguous, feasible and verifiable.
Your role is a crucial pillar in the organisations goal of implementing continuous improvement by shifting quality control practices to earlier parts of the software development lifecycle. As the Business Analyst Manager, you will play a key role in implementing practices that enable the organisation to achieve this goal.
Your team of BA’s, under your guidance, mentorship and experience, will enable the team to:
- Work closely with the client’s product owners, delivery managers and other client stakeholders to facilitate the elicitation and capture of user interface designs, functional and non-functional requirements
- Apply Agile requirements management practices to translate a client’s requirements into agile artefacts, such as Epics, Stories and Acceptance Criteria
- Work smoothly with the clients on-shore teams regardless of the software development lifecycle models used by our clients
- Continuously improve the processes and practices used to increase efficiency and ensure that all development team members clearly understand the BA processes and the tools they use
As the Business Analyst Manager, you will be expected to:
- Work closely with the Vietnam project lead/manager and the client’s delivery managers in project planning and estimation for the effort of your team
- Manage the team’s delivery against both the Client’s project high-level milestones as well as ensuring the teams sprint commitments are delivered
- Ensure that requirements management process is supported by Jira and Confluence for BA team and that the team understands the expectation that they will use and update these tools daily
- Mentor, coach and define career paths for the BA team
- Work with each team during sprint planning to ensure that:
o Story priorities area clearly understood
o Story point estimates have been will considered ahead of the planning session to ensure that requirements complexity is included as part of the story point estimation process
- Conduct planning, retrospective and backlog refinement meetings with the development teams and the client’s product owners/delivery managers

Qualifications:
- Ideally a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in an IT-related field and relevant experience managing small to medium sized teams. Some of your experience has been involved working with on-shore client teams and their stakeholders
Experience:
- At least 6 years in a business analysis role in which you are currently managing a team
- Experience in leading and developing teams
- Experience working on large enterprise system projects
- Experience working in Agile teams and applying different agile requirements methods to facilitate the best outcome for the client
- Experience with the Agile project tracking tools, Atlassian Jira and Confluence
- Experience with story point estimation and techniques to breakdown stories into tasks that are then able to be given effort estimates
- Experience working with customers located in geographically different locations
- Experience working in the insurance industry, specifically worker’s compensation, is advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
- Familiarity and experience working in multidisciplinary teams
Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience working with web based applications that use C#, MS SQL, Windows IIS, JavaScript
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to independently time manage, and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to read and manage communication styles of team members and stakeholders who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
- Consults with the client’s teams to define and document business needs and objectives, for translation into Epics and User Stories
- Lead requirements analysis, validation and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable
- Excels at interpreting business and function requirements and clearly communicating requirements to development teams
- Analyses the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users
- Strong understanding of the full lifecycle (SDLC) with Agile/Scrum/LEAN experience
