Project Uncommons

Uncommons is committed to a simple, powerful idea. The new decentralized internet must be free and open to everyone. No tokens, no gas fees and no exclusive parties.

Existing blockchains follow a profit driven, capitalistic model where users and developers have to pay for access - an infrastructural barrier to widespread adoption.

This will be the first free, community-run, open-access blockchain. As long as there are enough people willing to run a simple script, the network lives.

When this technology free to use and free to build upon, user onboarding costs will shrink and the blockchain will expand its reach.

This is an invitation to help others build something bigger than themselves.

  - Golang/Rust

  - Nodejs/js (a plus)
• Understand blockchain technologies, especially Ethereum, Bitcoin, Proof of Work, Proof of Stake, etc.
• Understand Ethereum development stack, including Solidity, Truffle, parity, geth, TestRPC, etc.
• Able to customize go-ethereum or parity source-code
• Independent, creative and flexible
• Plays nicely with others
• Able to own a project and work well in an environment with no hierarchy
• Optimistic and a little bit mad

• Willingness to learn new programming languages, tools, and technologies
• You must be a fast and thorough learner, capable of systematically inquiring into new technologies and their foundations. Think and rethink, from the ground up
• Able to constantly challenge yourself to stay on top of your game and upgrade yourself every day.

• Understanding blockchain technologies, especially Ethereum, Bitcoin, Proof of Work, Proof of Stake, etc.
• Understanding Ethereum Web3 development stack, including Web3, Solidity, Truffle, Parity, Geth, TestRPC, Ropsten, etc.
• Contribution to open-source projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Teamwork, flexibility, initiative, communication, and organization.
