Purpose & Objectives
SAP HANA Database seeks a Senior Developer at our Vietnam labs, Vietnam labs is responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.

We have set ourselves the challenging task of further developing the groundbreaking SAP in-memory computing technology over the next years. The latest technologies in the areas of main-memory, multi-core processing, and data management now allow effective in-memory computing, which analyzes business data in real time and combines transactional and analytic functions to significantly improve the performance of existing business processes.


The Opportunity/Job description

As a (Senior) Developer in the SAP HANA Database engine team you will contribute your expertise to various functional areas of the core database, being responsible for the whole development cycle from start to finish, with a strong focus on test-driven development. You will have opportunity to work in an open and multicultural working environment

- Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and support others in resolving issues.
- Show initiative and drive topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency. Work closely together with others and shares expertise to ensure product success.
- Improve own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills.
- Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team.
- When acting as Scrum Master in the LEAN context, responsible for ensuring that Scrum is understood and put into practice properly; serving as the "servant-leader for the Product Owner and the Development Team; facilitating Scrum Events on request or as required; coaching the Development Team in self-organization; and removing impediments to the Development Team's progress.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and six years or experience is required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and four years of experience.

Work Experience:
Experience must involve four years of experience in the following: big data, Cloud foundry, node.js;
Relational database, SQL, and query optimization; microservice, algorithms, caching, scalability and concurrency technologies;
Front-end development experience with JSON, HTML, CSS and JavaScript; XML and Integration methodologies;
Implementation in building highly scalable SOAP and REST services; OO programming and design patterns;
Writing and unit testing high quality code in a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment;
Linux/Unix environment and scripting languages;
Designing and developing business applications with Cloud deployments; and scrum methodology.
