At Tiki, Search & Discovery are the most critical features that helps our users find the right products. We're looking for a Head of Search & Discovery who will spearhead the development of Tiki's search and product recommendation engine for a catalog of millions of products. As with any ecommerce search engine, the technical challenges are numerous; among them are machine learning, natural language processing, large-scale system design, and information retrieval.

What you will do:

• You will lead a team of engineers whose mission is to help millions of users find the most relevant products for their needs.
• You and your team will own the development and metrics of Tiki's search and product recommendation engine to improve relevance, refinement, faceting, and spontaneity.

5. We take risks. We're not afraid to challenge "best practices", if a change is deemed extremely risky then we'll test it first, otherwise we don't hesitate in moving things around or even throw things away.

Who you will be working with: data scientists, search engineers, and many other engineers in consumer facing disciplines.

• At least 10 years of experience in building a product search engine for a catalog of millions of products.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, infrastructure, ranking optimization and what metrics to optimize for a search engine.
• Understanding of Vietnamese language and its quirks is a plus.
