Job Overview
We are looking for a Data Scientist who will support our product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. The hire will have a chance to work with the largest datasets in Vietnam’s retail market including both structured and unstructured data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
Responsibilities for Data Scientist
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes.
- Work as the lead data strategist, identifying and integrating new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities and work closely with the engineering team to strategize and execute the development of data products
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Execute analytical experiments methodically to help solve various problems and make a true impact across various domains and industries
- Implement analytical models into production by collaborating with software developers and machine learning engineers.
- Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
- Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed to operational systems

Your Skills and Experience
Qualifications for Data Engineer
- We’re looking for someone with 3+ years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models. Having a Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field is a plus.
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, different types of neural networks, etc.) and their real-world applications, advantages, and drawbacks.
- Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation
- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and/or unstructured datasets.
- Experience working with and creating data architectures.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
