The Role:
Sugar Ventures is looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.
As a Front-End Web Developer, you will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

Our ideal candidate is both a team player and an independent self-starter; is a perfectionist at heart but wants to release fast and iterate. Responsibilities:
- Can convert PSD design to HTML and CSS.
- Creates web pages conforming to HTML5 and CSS3 standards.
- Creates responsive web pages that work well on a wide range of devices.
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
- Implements efficient and effective solutions from design specifications.
- Effectively tests developed software.
- Provides accurate estimates of the effort required to complete a task.
- Recommends and implements process improvements.
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
- Create and maintain software documentation.
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our web applications.
- Communicate to the Project Manager with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays. Work closely with our talented Product, Design, and Engineering teams to design, build, and deliver products as per the requirement.

Job Requirement
Your Skills and Experience
- At least 3-5 years proven working experience in HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of standards-based web development and cross-platform.
- compatibility
- Working experience with following frameworks / technologies:
- Ruby on Rails
- HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, DOM
- JQuery / JQueryMobile
- Web Services/REST
- Experience working with source control such as Github, GIT, Bitbucket, JIRA etc.
- Strong knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation process.
- Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
- Self-starter with strong self-management skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
