Job description

Overview of job

The Training & Development Team Lead is responsible for designing, delivering and administering the organization’s training and development plan to enhance the performance of individual employees and meet the current and future human resources needs of the business.

• Training Design and Delivery
o Course Composing: Compose Training Materials - Design/ Prepare materials for training programs that meet the stakeholder’s needs
o Course Delivering: Deliver training programs as plan

• Training Coordination
o Course Authorizing: Authorize some internal courses - Authorize/ Review offline training materials for Process/ Soft Skills and English courses.
o Course Scheduling: Prepare Monthly Training Schedule - Review requests from DM/ QAM/ QCM/ TD and yearly training schedule and plan; Prepare the training schedule; Update if the plan changes. Coordinate the delivery of the program - Work with Training & Development Officer or Senior Training & Development Officer to ensure the training’s delivered as planned
o Course Announcing: Prepare Announcement based on Monthly/ Weekly Training Plan
o Reporting: Report on program - Follow and update the program’s progress on database.
o Database Updating: Update relevant database on SVN - Check and input data into files stored on SVN accordingly. Update relevant database on Training Portal - Check and input data into files stored on Training Portal accordingly

• Training Development
o Training Needs: Analyse the training needs of individuals or groups of employees to develop training programs that enhance their know-how, skills, and performance. Report on TNA.
o Training Plan: Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development program, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on the job training, meetings, conferences and workshops
o Training Budget: Prepare training budget for department or organization
o Employee Training Consultation: Consult employees and managers about the organization’s training programs and policies and arrange for employees to participate in internal and external training so that the organization’s training resources are allocated effectively.
o Training Progress Monitoring: Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires/ survey and discussion with managers. Ensure that statutory training requirements are met.
o Training Evaluation: Evaluate training and development program, amend and review program as necessary in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environments. Build the Training Evaluation benchmark for chosen course and implement it periodically: Review Training Evaluation form/ evaluation criteria; Choose reviewers who will take part in the evaluation; Coordinate the delivery of Training Evaluation; review and finalize the Report on TNA.
o Improve the current training process: Review and improve general process. Update timely on database.
o Self- development: Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, attending relevant courses or workshops so that the organization’s training activities remain current and up to date.

• Team Development
o Developing and building teams: Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members; provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
o Coaching and developing others: Identify the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills

Job Requirement

• Knowledge
o Training: Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
o Administration and Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and coordination of people and resources.
o Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing training service to stakeholders. This includes meeting quality standard for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
o Psychology: Knowledge of human behaviour and performance; individual differences in ability, personality and interests; learning and motivation
o Clerical: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and system such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology.
o English Language: Ability to read & write, listen and speak English with high proficiency. Minimum TOEIC score (if have) is 800

o System Analysis and Evaluation: Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations and the environment will affect outcomes; Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
o Management of personnel resources: Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job. Mentoring and Coaching others ( helping them to improve their knowledge and skills)

• Abilities
o Oral and written expression: The ability to communicate information and ideas in both oral and written form so others can understand.
o Information Ordering: The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.

• Education and Experiences
o A B.S/ B.A in related field (HR/ Training/ Education/ Business Administration)
o 5 years in the same position
