Overview of job

You will be joining the tech team, reporting directly to the. As Data Science Director you will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Designing appropriate databases for the company's use
- Working with backend engineers to build and improve existing data pipelines
- Organizing and analyzing anonymized data from our customers to find patterns and predict behavior
- Building models to understand the user's journey and predict important highlights
- Designing algorithms that can be used in production environments
- Working with developers to implement your algorithms in production and modify the apps to take the results into account
- Presenting key findings in a clear way (e.g. through interpretable visualizations) to both technical and non-technical team members
- Coming up with creative ideas to use our data to gain a competitive advantage
- Keeping to deadlines and delivering consistently good work
- Building up your team by leading the data science recruitment process
- Supporting and training other team members including running formal training programmes
- Building and maintaining a strong culture of great team morale, cohesiveness and high-performance

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in data science
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art methods for data analysis
- Some experience managing data at scale, optimally on a company setting
- Being able to devise and execute a research plan given the problem
- High level of relevant technical skills
- The ability to keep your work clear and organised
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
- English language to a good standard
