Founded in 2016, Missing Corner started out helping startups and enterprises by providing technology consulting and development of high-tech cloud products. Our technology establishes and empower our clients with solution beyond their imagination, by combining creative product design with latest, trendiest technologies available.
2020 is an exciting new year for Missing Corner as we also bring our own product to the market that customer will love. We are on process of receiving venture investment for our new product and expanding our office to Silicon Valley. It’s an exciting time to join Missing Corner in a high-growth stage and the opportunity is unparalleled.
About you
We hire people from a variety of backgrounds who are respectful, collaborative, and introspective. Members of the tech team, for example, come from diverse backgrounds having worked as language teachers, psychologist, graphic designers, and photographers prior to joining Missing Corner.
Our hiring process focuses not only on your skills but also on your professional and personal ambitions. We want to get to know you. We put a lot of thought into the interview process in order to get a holistic understanding of you while being mindful of your time. You will solve problems derived from the work we do on a daily basis followed by thoughtful discussions around potential fit. Whatever the outcome, we want you to have a great candidate experience.

Basic Requirements:
- End to End Ownership- you’re responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code, but we take ownership for everything we have. It’s never "not my problem."
- Make it Real- Our creative product team dreams up new features and ideas that push the edge of our industry and you make it real. It’s what you love to do, we provide you with everything you need, including a team that’s eager to see you succeed.
- Make it Better- improve our apps using any language, framework or library that is appropriate for the job. Currently, we use NodeJS, Java, Go, Python, React, Redux, and AWS
- Ensure Reliability- Bugs happen, but what happened? Did we know it was going to happen before it caused problems? This is what adding telemetry to our apps is about. Trying to predict causes before they become an issue. If they do become problems, we spring into action to solve it asap with the right tooling that helps us find the answer fast.

Job Requirement
Your Skills and Experience
- English is a must, $200/month bonus if you have TOELF over 100 or IELTS over 8
- CS degree isn’t required, skill matters.
- Experience with scaling and performance improvements
- Have strong opinions on creating maintainable API or UI and either favor content negotiation or have good reasons for alternate methods
- Works well with a team
- Lives in Hanoi or willing to relocate to Hanoi for at least 1 year
