Job description
Overview of job
- Set up/ install DB Server
- Work with data modeling tool e.g. Power Designer base on input of Business Analyst
- Manage test data for migration process
- Monitor SQL requests submitted on integration environments
- Optimize (such as adding Indexes), analyze SQL execution plan, write hints to improve and open JIRAs to ask for queries to be put in cache
- Assist developers to write proper SQL statements fast; check their SQL to modify the structure and / or data
- Work with project teams to understand business problems and provide suitable solutions to fix performance issues (related to database/queries performance) in some critical circumstances
- Provide necessary training/coaching to project teams to improve their skills in SQL queries writing
Job Requirement
Hard skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in system and database management especially SQL Server environment
- Excellent in SQL tunning, performance optimization (in SQL Server databases)
- Business orientated mindset
- Experience in programming languages: Linux shell scripts, PowerShell, Perl
- Solid knowledge of operating systems (Linux / Window)
- Experience with continuous integration tools: Jenkins, Maven
- Know how to use check_mk and vcenter is a plus
