Overview of job

+ Research and select hardware solutions in electric and electronic projects, especially in Power Electronics and Motor Control field.
+ Design circuit schematics and systems using schematic capture tool.
+ Layout PCB or work with PCB layout engineer to create PCB designs with high level of power and signal integrity and low EMI.
+ Build prototypes / bring-up / debug boards.
+ Do the whole hardware works for the team, such as designing schematic, PCB layout and testing Hardware products.
+ Co-ordinate or support to work with Embedded software engineer while developing and testing the prototypes.
+ Manage electronic components and working equipment related to hardware.
+ Leads more complex projects, analyzes and designs new products and systems, and improves existing products.
+ Designs and/or improves products considering manufacturability, quality and cost with a thorough understanding of design tools and methods. Reviews and approves work done by associate and design engineers.
+ Optimizes products considering manufacturability, quality and cost with a thorough understanding of analysis methods. Reviews and approves analysis done by associate and design engineers.

+ Good knowledge of analog and digital circuits.
+ Having good knowledge about components and operating principles of industrial Electrical - Electronics circuits in general and in-depth knowledge of Power electronics in particular.
+ Ability to read and understand the datasheet of electronic components, sensors and actuators to use when designing an electronic hardware circuit.
+ Ability to read and understand the principles of electronic circuits in measurement, control and automation systems.
+ Good knowledge and skills in designing multi-layer PCB circuits to ensure compatibility and meet stringent automotive standards.
+ Proficient at least one electronic circuit design tool such as: Altium (priority), or OrCAD.
+ Experience in designing embedded hardware systems based on common microcontrollers such as: AVR, PIC, ARM or C2000.
+ Experienced in selecting and optimizing hardware solutions in series production.
+ Experienced in selecting replacement hardware components with comparable features and quality to reduce mass production costs.
+ Experience with common laboratory equipment simulation, circuit diagram development and layout of industrial electronics
+ Knowledge of circuit board technologies
Desired Skills:
+ Familiarity with TI C2000 Delfino series MCU and experience coding this for use in high power bidirectional DC-DC converters a plus.
+ Experience testing and instrumenting mixed analog and digital circuits at 230Vac, 500Vdc and up to 200kW.
+ Experience with EMC standards and their implementation in design
+ Familiarity with Power electronics including control hardware topologies and inverter topologies.
