Main responsibilities 

• Write readable and maintainable code that not only performs the task but eases future modifications 

• Work in a team environment in terms of cooperating on designing, implementing and deploying applications 

• Develop automated tests for applications, including but not limited to unit tests 

• Integrate applications with databases 

• Keep track of work progress and work in an objective-oriented environment 

• Create and maintain documentation on solution design and maintenance

Essential requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Java 8 (or superior) development 

• Knowledge of the Spring framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring MVC and other Spring components 

• Good grasp of SQL and relational database management systems (PostgreSQL) 

• Experience with Hibernate (or similar) 

• Experience with Maven 

• Experience with Linux systems (Debian systems is a plus) 

• Familiarity with distributed computing and asynchronous programming paradigms 

• Experience with code sub-versioning using Git 

• Experience with unit and integration test development 

• Fluency in English language 

Desirable requirements 

• Experience with containerization and virtualization tools (Docker) 

• Experience with AWS 

• Familiarity with web front-end frameworks (React) and technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Redux)
