Technical Requirements

• Good working knowledge of Javascript on both frontend and backend (Node).
• Minimum 2 years ReactJS experience
• Minimum 2 years NodeJS experience
• Have at least 2 years of experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Have experience with GraphQL and RelayJS
• Experience with build tools such as Gulp, Yarn and Webpack
• Good working knowledge of Git and GitFlow, workflows is a must

Personality Requirements

• Passion for the digital space
• A track record of developing stable, foundational code and applications
• Solid experience in writing and maintaining NodeJS backend APIs
• Good communication skills, and the ability to manage tasks independently.
• Good teamwork skills
• Proactive and opinionated where it relates to technical architecture, code quality or user experience
• Easy going aspect and a good sense of humour
• Excellent command of English language both written and spoken will be highly regarded

Bonus skills

• Knowledge of Functional Programming
• Experience with the following Javascript libraries and abstractions: RamdaJS, BookshelfJS, KnexJS, Mocha and Chai
• Proficiency in speaking and understanding spoken English.
• Knowledge of serverless (cloud agnostic) framework - in particular its use with AWS Cloud Formation.
• Experience with AWS Step Functions
