We’re looking for Lead/Senior Data Engineer (ZaloPay)

• Manage Data Engineer team (deadline, resources,..) to make sure to meet requirements from Business
• Work closely with other teams in the Data Services team and the PO/ Tech Departments to develop and expand ZaloPay’s reporting capabilities. Take initiative in designing dashboards and reports that anticipate business users’ need and help them make better decisions.
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to provide visibility on business performance.
• Produce scalable solutions for automated dashboards and reports so that business users can quickly and accurately see how key business operations and processes are performing.

We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer/Software Engineer role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field. Preferably, you should also have experience using the following software/tools:

• Big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc;
• Relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, MongoDB & ArangoDB;
• Object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc;
• Experience in building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets;
• Experience in performing root cause analysis on internal, external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement;
• Proven ability to ship products and deliver results in a complex, ambiguous environment;
• Excellent presentation skills, especially how to present complex data in easy to understand charts and dashboards;
• Excellent communications skills;
• Experience in supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic & fast-paced environment;
• Experience in e-commerce or retail industry is a plus.
