Job Role: Implementation consultant for APM (Elastic Stack) – (open to candidates for upskilling/reskilling)

Upskill/Reskill: Open to candidates with infrastructure monitoring, tools deployment or system admins with Linux / Windows willing to upskill on APM.

Job Description:

• Implement and support ELK installation, application onboarding and maintenance.
• Understand requirements, work on log files analysis, prepare GROK expressions.
• Work with senior engineers on setup and maintenance of ELK clusters, installation and configuration of beats on both Windows and Linux environments, security and external tools integrations.

YOUR MISSION:

• Work directly with application development and support teams to gather requirements and guide ELK implementation.
• Interface with customer teams to integrate application's components with ELK to achieve maximum visibility.
• Collaborate with Business and IT to design and implement performance benchmarks for each application, and report results.
• Develop processes to proactively monitor and alert for critical metrics.
• Recommend additional integrations with other tools for improved monitoring.
• Verify monitoring tool configuration by overseeing the preparation of test data, test and debug of configurations to ensure proper monitoring in production

• 2+ years of overall experience in Application and Infrastructure performance monitoring and Application Analytics using Elastic Search.
• Experience with deployment, configuration and customization of Agents on Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
• Expert in creating Logstash filters using GROK.
• DSL query writing experience and ability to generate reports using Kibana.
• Strong experience in creating Kibana dashboards.
• Hands on experience with scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• X-Pack implementation, including SSO / LDAP, Slack, HipChat, ServiceNow, Integrations.
• Good communication in English is a must.
• Creativity and accuracy.

Good to have:

• Automation experience with Ansible, or Chef.
• Cloud application monitoring on AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience in building Kibana plugins.
• Exposure to other APM tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Nagios, etc).
