The Tech Academy is newly formed training program focused on accelerating and supporting new emerging talent who have a background in Information Technology/Information System/Computer Sciences and wanting to leapfrog their career into technology. Our Tech Academy supports emerging talent who is new to the professional working life (or with 2 years’ experience) with outreach and internship program opportunities aimed at helping people with long term aspirations in career in technology.

The Technical Instructor of the Tech Academy and Emerging Talent at NAB in Vietnam will create and build a world class training programs covering core tech development to NAB enterprise platforms giving real-world professional engineering experience for entry and junior level software engineering roles.

The training program is envisioned as a bootcamp where new talent will be led by inspiring instructor and self-paced digital training through a 1-to-4-month program to develop real-world features for our banking projects.

As the Technical Instructor, you’ll be responsible for creating the training syllabus and materials to help our emerging talents develop their technical competency while working with the coaches/instructors from the wider Vietnam Technology Centre (VTC). You will prepare the Cloud environment to enable to the talents succeed during and beyond the bootcamp in their growing journey with NAB.

You’re building the future workforce of the VTC and connecting the talent of the young Vietnamese to NAB.

Your Responsibilities:

- Work with the wider VTC tech community to develop assignments and capstone projects that tests the capabilities of the emerging talent (i.e. freshers and graduates)
- Own and maintain the competency matrix for the graduates and freshers that is realistic and achievable across the VTC
- Collaborate with instructors from other competency areas (soft skills, English skills, etc.) to develop the talents into well-rounded software engineers that are ready for the professional working environment
- Support the journey of the graduates (or less than 2 years) throughout their time in the academy, providing support during training and promoting growth and talent development.
- Develop the infrastructure for the talents to learn, practice, and build solutions during the training program
- Support the selection, interview, and evaluation process of the talents
- Align with VTC engineer managers to assure the emerging talent are NAB-tech ready after graduating from the bootcamp
- Support recruitment campaigns in terms of events, university and schools and visits and outreach activities
- Set objectives for participants in the new emerging talent program, ensuring that they are realistic and achievable

Job Requirement

What you should have
- You’re a modern engineer with experience and knowledge of cloud, microservices and micro-frontends
- You have a passion for developing the next generation of engineers and ensuring that they follow modern development practices like automation testing, pair programming, and TDD.
- You have great interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
- You have excellent organizational management skills, work ethic, motivation, and dedication to grow talent in Vietnam
- You exhibit growth mindset through practice and self-learning (able to model what you teach and embody in the culture)
- You’re experienced working with international clients and onshore/offshore working models.
- You’re able to communicate with confidence and influence in English

Even better if you have
- You have work experience in large enterprise organization.
- You have lead community events or a recognized as a community leader
- You have work experience as a coach/trainer in an English-speaking environment.
