Our client is a leading app and web development agency (2nd highest rating in Sydney and 4th highest rated in Australia and plans to expand to Vietnam, London and New York post COVID.

Facilitating the ability for Startups and large enterprises to bring their products to market much quicker than hiring their own internal teams. At any given time, we are building more than 20 projects consecutively which is increasing every month.

This position will start as a technical leader to build up the first pioneer team in VN and potentially be promoted to CTO when the team size is full structured.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• This role would require the ability to help the presales team consult on the ideal technical implementation;
• Build and manage a team in Vietnam (Employee #1 in Vietnam);
• Be the main technical lead in Vietnam (Preferably backend Python Developer) for the first few months as the team scales;
• Build the ideal development operation to keep teams focused and allow the company to invest in reusable component libraries;
• Estimate and plan projects and set delivery expectations with the team and leadership group;
• Ensure all work to be done in accordance with set processes, guidelines and recommendations;
• Proactively identify and alert leadership group on areas of improvement;
• Ensure all work to be done as per defined requirements, priorities and timelines;
• Effective communication of expectations to all team members and leadership group;
• Support and mentor all team members and provide an environment where they can be their best;
• Always act with high integrity by telling things the way they are even if that means bad news.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have:

• 3 - 5 years in a team leading position having learned how to motivate and organize;
• Ideally 5+ years hands on experience with Python (Django), .NET or Ruby on Rails;
• Infrastructure provisioning: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, on premise Hosting;
• Web service: REST based or SOAP based;
• Strong understanding of IT architecture principles;
• Excellent management experience in Agile methodologies such as SCRUM. Project management experience in waterfall is viewed favorably.
