Overview of job
The primary focus of this position will be to develop documentation and training materials pertaining to Fortna’s software packages. This position will also work with Client Support Associates to assist in troubleshooting software issues at our client sites.
- Participate in software design, coding, review, and testing and integration to understand the product and procedures to be able to document for Client Support
- Prepare documentation using plain English rather than programmer-speak
- Create troubleshooting guides to assist the Client Support Specialists with software-related issues
- Handle Client Support calls when necessary
- Assist Software QA in development of component and project test plans and test automation
- Collaborate with other Associates to foster a team atmosphere
- Maintain high-quality software source code and documentation
- Provide remote support and troubleshooting for Clients’ systems.
Job Requirement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related field
- One plus years of experience with any backend programming language such as Java, .Net, etc.
- Ability to work with data structures and algorithms
- English fluency and communication skills (both written and verbal communication)
- Experience with time-sensitive, high transaction-based processing
- Proficient in object orientated analysis and design (OOAD) such as general design patterns and core object-oriented patterns
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally occasionally
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job
