Overview of job

• Provides technical management and leadership to Software Development teams.
• Partners with Management to drive development initiatives according to plan.
• Responsible for meeting product requirements of next generation and existing product lines by guiding and managing development team members to develop a competitive product line in a fast-paced high technology environment.
• Drives the development of new enterprise technologies from conception through production including the successful release of new products.
• Ensures user experience strategy is delivered.
• Ensures timely, quality product features and releases by creating strategies for deployment and implementing objectives successfully.
• Understands complex product development cycles to ensure actions are proactively managed and issues minimized.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field.
• 15+ years’ software development experience.
• 5+ years’ upper management experience (managing a team of managers – 3 or more).
• Proven ability driving complex, on-time software product development.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate software development teams.
• Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and simplify strategies into specific actions.
• Ability to manage expectations and deal with ambiguity and change.
• Ability to present clearly and succinctly to project teams and executives.
• Understanding of manufacturing requirements and process.
• Basic understanding of networking and switching.
• Demonstrated excellence in leadership and communication within project and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Good at English speaking and writing
• Experience in web application (ASP.NET), microservices, container platform (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Knowledge in cloud computing (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure) is a plus
• Solid IT background knowledge (software applications development and testing, standards, best practices, security, networking, OS, DBMS, middleware, etc.)
• Experience in Agile development methodology
• Hand-on and experience in using Jira
