We are currently seeking for talents with good sense of ownership to be part of our product development team. This role will be acting as a senior voice in the team, who is not hesitant to point out what could be better, as well as supporting the more junior members in daily work. You will have an exclusive opportunity to work directly with our international partner setting up their brand-new development center in Ho Chi Minh City.  With all newest trends in technology, it is not just about coding, but also landing in a highly evolved technical environment with passionate team players.

What you will do:

• Work through all the layers / stages of software development cycle, from gathering requirements, high-level design, low-level design, authoring documentations, testing, to deployment on Production! All the while keeping in mind the various aspects of the system like security, scalability, maintainability, etc. 
• You’ll work with the team to help organize the team’s activities, and will play an important role in mentoring and developing more junior team members, while having plenty of time to do your own development work, and will sometimes lead more complex development tasks involving multiple people
• Your team lead will look to you as their most capable team member and will depend on you for input and advice on many areas of the team’s operation
• We work closely with a broader open source ecosystem and contributions upstream are encouraged and part of your day to day work
• Provide continuous support and guidance to less senior colleagues through regular coaching activities and support them in fulfilling their personal development plans

What you should have:

• Strong sense of ownership, willingness to contribute to common goal 
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• 7+ years of working experience and solid Computer Science/Engineering skills, e.g. concurrency, algorithms, data structures, distributed system concepts
• Experience in supporting/working with high velocity development processes 
• An ability to understand and communicate abstract ideas and problems
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Ability to work confidently in Java (Python & SQL experience would be advantageous)
• Experience with DevOpsprinciples and technology (e.g. Jenkins, Terraform, Docker)
• Experience with Cloud environments and concepts (AWS, Google or Azure)
• Good English communication skills (both verbal & written), especially in the global software development environment
• Readiness to coach, mentor and train less senior colleagues

It’s great if you have:

• Experience in low level networking, protocol design, high performance network programming
• Experience in working with or managing Redis, Cassandra, Postgres, Elasticsearch or Kafka databases
• Experience with database migration
• Experience with ETL & BI reporting.
