Overview of job

Location: Hybrid working at HCMC (3 days / week of working at the office)

• Provide design, process, and code reviews to improve the overall solution
• Contributor to the design and launch reviews for new services and collaborate with multiple teams to complete a launch
• Provide guidance to development teams to apply best practices when it comes to availability, scalability, deployment, and efficiency for cloud solutions
• Investigate solutions to improve and automate current containerized solutions and recommend legacy migrations
• Support American engineers with Git automation, CI/CD deployments, and code review sessions.

Required Skills:

• Detail-oriented and self-disciplined with excellent organizational skills and time management
• Experience working across geographical time-zones and cross collaboration of development work during evening/morning hours.
• Strong analytical aptitude to improve systems by reviewing performance, reliability, and security.
• Experience managing a SaaS or IaaS environment with strong customer-base using automated release methods and minimal interruption to production services.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux based systems and Shell commands and scripting.
• Experience of building and operating Cloud hosted services in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with at least one procedural language, and at least one scripting/interpreted language (ie. Python or Bash and C# or C++).
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and MS SQL; with a strong desire to expand knowledge of emerging database technology.
• Capable of writing tools, RESTful APIs, and technical documentation to allow fellow team members to become self-guided.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) for container orchestration.
• Experience with Git workflows such as GitHub Git Flow, Trunk Based Development, and Branching Strategies
• Strong knowledge of Grafana, Lens, and Kibana for monitoring and logging
• High competency in English technical writing and speaking is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in Sr. DevOps or as a Site Reliability Engineer
• Experience with container-based platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Prometheus, New Relic, Kibana, and ELK stack for monitoring
• Experience managing large scale CI/CD Pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Experience with Frontend language (Angular, Node.js, HTML, and CSS).
• Experience with EC2 Auto scaling and GPU-Enabled EC2 Instances
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Microsoft Azure cloud and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• A yearning to learn new skills
