About the team

Our Technology team is the backbone of our business. The team is responsible for building a reliable, scalable and compatible platform for our product and services. Our Engineering team consists of talented and passionate engineers that focus on Full Stack (Back-end & Front-end), Mobile, QA across the regions and work closely with Data, Infrastructure & Security, Product team and with the cross functional team to continuously improve and scale our products forward.

About the role

You work on a modern technology stack (Java, mySQL, Docker, Kubernetes) to build the next-generation healthcare services that serve 2.5 million patients across Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Philippines. As Software Engineer, you will contribute to all aspects of the software development life cycle — architecture, design, implementation, code reviews, testing, and production on-call support. The ideal candidate has strong ownership, good communication skills, enjoy working in highly collaborative and fast paced environments.

• Own end-to-end development of small features and bug fixes.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and performant code.
• Keep up-to-date with latest industry and technology trends.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 0-1 year of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java or at least one language primarily used for server-side development.
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skill in English language

Preferred Qualifications (not required, but will make you stand out from the crowd):

• Proficiency with Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in programming languages in addition to Java e.g. TypeScript, JavaScript, Python.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR, HL7
