PROJECT OVERVIEW 
To resolve challenges in Nexon games and uncover new opportunities, we are seeking an AI expert to lead research and services in generative AI technology. This role will serve as the AI hub within the Nexon Group, enhancing overall development productivity and fostering the accumulation and activation of AI technologies. 

JOB SUMMARY
Conduct research and development on Nexon’s AI technologies to support the organization’s business objectives and technical needs. Responsibilities include AI model design, optimization, large-scale data processing, and analysis, as well as planning and implementing AI solutions for real-world services, all while leading collaboration with internal teams and external partners. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

AI Model Development and Optimization 

• Research and design state-of-the-art machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI algorithms 
• Develop customized AI models for specific problem-solving and optimize their performance 
• Maintain and continuously update existing models 

Data Processing and Analysis 

• Collect, preprocess, and analyze large-scale datasets 
• Extract data-driven insights and build decision-support systems 

AI Solution Planning and Implementation 

• Plan and develop AI products and services that meet business needs 
• Develop, test, and provide customized AI solutions for practical applications 

Research and Trend Analysis 

• Investigate and analyze the latest AI technologies, academic papers, and industry trends 
• Experiment with and validate innovative technologies for potential business applications 

Collaboration and Technical Support 

• Collaborate with team members while providing technical support to both internal development teams and external partners 
• Conduct AI-related training and workshops to disseminate knowledge 

System Integration and Maintenance 

• Integrate and deploy developed AI solutions 
• Ensure system stability through performance monitoring and ongoing maintenance.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Education & Major 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields 
• Must hold a Ph.D. 

Experience 

• Proven experience in AI model development and data analysis projects 
• Experience with large-scale data processing and cloud-based AI solution development 

Technical Skills 

• Proficiency with machine learning/deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) 
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R 
• Experience with databases and distributed computing (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) 

Management and Leadership 

• Experience managing R&D teams and mentoring 
• Strong project planning, scheduling, and execution skills 
• Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with diverse stakeholders 

Strategic Thinking 

• Understanding of the latest technological trends and their business applications 
• Ability to set and execute the organization’s technical direction 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Publication of AI-related academic papers or registration of patents (especially SCI-indexed publications) 
• Experience with MLOps or DevOps 
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Google Professional Data Engineer) 
• Proficiency in English
