Overview of job

• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases for both UI and API layers.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate data integrity, business logic, and perform deep database-level verification.
• Review and understand stored procedures, triggers, and SQL scripts to design efficient test scenarios and uncover potential defects early.
• Conduct API testing using Postman (collections, environments, automated runs, assertions, etc.).
• Collaborate with developers to identify whether issues originate from Backend (API / DB) or Frontend (UI / integration).
• Execute performance and load testing, analyze response times, and report performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in requirement review sessions to identify potential risks or unclear acceptance criteria.
• Maintain defect logs with detailed, reproducible steps and work closely with the dev team for quick resolution.
• Support deployment validation, smoke testing, and post-release verification.

Technical Skills

• 3–5+ years of professional QA experience, with at least 1 years at Senior level.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (including complex joins, subqueries, aggregation, stored procedure debugging).
• Proficient in API testing using Postman and comfortable working with API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Experience in performance testing (using tools such as JMeter, K6, or Postman Runner).
• Ability to read and understand backend code logic (SQL, JSON payloads, API responses).
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of pinpointing the exact source of bugs across multiple layers.
• Familiar with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with developers, BAs, and PMs effectively.
• Proactive attitude with a mindset focused on product quality and continuous improvement.

Priorities (not a must-have)

• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium).
• Familiarity with scripting or basic programming (JavaScript, Python, or C#).
• Knowledge of Dockerized environments or testing APIs in microservice-based systems.
• Experience testing data-heavy or high-performance enterprise applications.
