We are looking for a motivated Junior Cloud & DevOps Engineer with foundational knowledge in AWS cloud services and CI/CD practices to join our platform engineering team. In this role, you will support the team in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines that enable reliable software delivery. You will learn from experienced engineers while contributing to real-world projects involving automation, containerization, and cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure under the guidance of senior engineers
• Support the team in maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, and automation tools
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development using CDK or Terraform
• Help deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Assist in implementing security best practices including access controls and encryption
• Monitor and report on cloud resource usage to support cost optimization efforts
• Support observability and monitoring tasks including log analysis, alerting, and dashboard maintenance
• Assist with database operations including backups, basic troubleshooting, and performance monitoring
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting of production issues
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment workflows and system reliability
• Document processes and contribute to internal knowledge base and runbooks
• Continuously learn and stay updated on cloud and DevOps best practices

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related technical role
• Basic understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, or similar) and cloud concepts
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and at least one CI/CD tool (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and basic understanding of Kubernetes
• Experience in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
• Can communicate in English
• Team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to grow

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of database technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis)
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or ELK Stack)
• Experience with Agile development methodologies or collaborative team environments
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, firewalls)
• Understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration basics
• AWS Cloud certification or any relevant cloud certification
