Job description
The Senior Software Engineer – DevOps is responsible to design, build, and maintain CI/CD solutions and cloud infrastructure automation for dedicated and hybrid cloud environments on Microsoft Azure. The role works closely with software developers, QA, and production IT teams to oversee code releases, streamline delivery, and ensure that engineering teams can ship features faster in an automated, repeatable, and secure way. The SSE DevOps also contributes to platform design decisions and mentors junior DevOps members.
- Work closely with development teams to analyze and implement branching strategies, and subsequently implement build and deploy automation using Azure Pipelines.
- Contribute to the design; develop, configure, administer, and maintain CI/CD tools and utilities across development, staging, UAT, and production environments on Microsoft Azure.
- Provision, version, and manage cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, including modularization, state management, and safe rollback.
- Containerize applications and manage deployments using Docker and Helm charts on Kubernetes (AKS), including release strategies such as blue/green and canary deployments.
- Implement, configure, and administer system logging, monitoring, and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
- Work closely with development and testing teams to set up development environments and components required for automation testing and performance testing.
- Administer, deploy, monitor, and health-check systems; ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery across Azure workloads.
- Support development teams to troubleshoot and resolve system problems; drive root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive improvements for production incidents.
- Apply security, compliance, and secrets management best practices across pipelines and cloud workloads.
- Research new DevOps techniques and tools to continuously improve the productivity of the DevOps team.
- Train, coach, and mentor new/junior DevOps project members.
- Obtain professional certificates when required.
- Strictly follow customer processes (when required) and the company's processes and systems complying with CMMI standards.
- 13 month salary per year

Job Requirement
Qualifications
- Must-have
- 4+ years' experience in DevOps, cloud/platform engineering, or infrastructure automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps, and monitoring & observability on Azure.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure Pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in Docker and deploying containerized workloads on Kubernetes (AKS) with Helm charts.
- Working proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus and Grafana for metrics, dashboards, and alerting.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python; solid understanding of security, load balancing, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach junior DevOps engineers; strong ownership, communication, and documentation skills.
- Additional / Nice-to-have
- Familiarity with SQL Server administration and query optimization; NoSQL experience is a plus.
- Exposure to Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL workloads.
- Experience using Azure Application Insights for application performance monitoring (APM).
- Understanding of CDN configuration and optimization (e.g., Azure Front Door / Azure CDN).
- Experience with secrets management (Azure Key Vault / HashiCorp Vault).
- Experience with logging management tools such as ELK/EFK.
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted DevOps tools for pipeline generation, IaC, risk detection, and incident troubleshooting — with the ability to review and validate AI outputs before use.
- Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, CKA/CKAD, or Terraform Associate.
