ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analytics Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in monitoring tools, observability tools (e.g., Splunk, AppD, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack) and Python scripting. As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Monitoring infrastructure to ensure the reliability and performance of our monitoring systems.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, deploy, and manage Monitoring platform (Splunk/OpenSearch) infrastructure, including indexers, search heads, forwarders, and deployment servers.
• Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts to provide visibility into system performance and security.
• Integrate data sources into Splunk, AppDynamics, OpenSearch, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
• Develop and manage data onboarding processes, including parsing, indexing, and data normalization.
• Monitor Splunk infrastructure for health and performance issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data collection, indexing, and search performance.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for automating tasks and processes within the Splunk environment.
• Implement automation solutions to streamline data ingestion and monitoring workflows.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to understand monitoring and observability requirements.
• Provide technical support and training to end users, ensuring effective use of the platform.
• Implement best practices for Splunk/OpenSearch architecture, data retention, and performance optimization.
• Continuously assess and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Monitoring environment.
