Overview of job

• Build, deploy, and maintain ML models and APIs for backend services to integrate model predictions into production systems.
• Develop and own ML solutions for key projects: surge pricing, ETA prediction, and object detection for proof-of-delivery image processing.
• Research and implement advanced ML approaches (supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, computer vision) to solve logistics and on-demand business problems.
• Monitor model performance in production, detect data drift, and proactively retrain or update models to maintain accuracy.
• Design, implement, and monitor A/B tests to evaluate model performance and business impact.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Backend Engineers to build reliable data pipelines, feature stores, and ensure smooth model API integration.
• Use up-to-date ML tech stack:
  • Languages: Python (scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow)
  • Model Serving / API: FastAPI, Flask or equivalent
  • Big Data: PySpark, BigQuery, GCS/S3
  • Cloud: GCP (Dataproc, Vertex AI or equivalent)
