Job description

Overview of job

Analyze requirements and design database architecture and technical solutions.
Support SRS preparation and detailed database design.
Propose database optimization solutions (indexing, query tuning), assess risks, and recommend mitigation plans
Write database-related code (SQL, stored procedures, triggers)
Perform unit testing and document test results.
Integrate databases with internal/external system modules via REST/SOAP APIs and web services
Fix bugs and support testing across SIT, UAT, PREPRO, and PROD phases
Prepare technical documentation and ensure data security and confidentiality.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support for database-related projects.

Job Requirement

Must-have

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields
3+ years of hands-on experience in database development
In-depth knowledge of database design and administration (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar DBMS)
Proficient in writing SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and automated database testing
Experience with query performance tuning, indexing strategy, and large-scale transactional data
Experience with Git/SVN and REST/SOAP APIs.
Able to work with English technical documentation and communicate with English-speaking clients/BA when required.

Nice-to-have

Experience in banking or insurance projects
Experience in technical leadership, mentoring, or team training
