FFW’s software developers are the foundation of our delivery team and work on challenging client engagements and internal solutions. Our developers are trusted specialists who partner with our senior technical leadership and engagement leadership to successfully deliver services to our clients. You will be one of an amazing group of technical experts that will be trusted to overcome technical challenges, work as part of a fantastic team, and grow your skills and career.
We are looking for people that have a minimum of 3+ years of experience developing WordPress applications. The position requires exceptional programming skills, problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking a web project from the development phase to the final product working it a team of 4 to 8 people.
For particularly strong candidates remote hire may be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Turning designs and client requirements into new fully functional WordPress websites.
- Building project structures, solutions and communicating it to your team.
- Working with the QC team to define performance criteria and metrics for measuring the success of new projects.
- Building new features and maintaining existing WordPress plugins.
- Lead company coding standards and conventions
- Responsible on project estimations
- Provide coaching and training to less experienced team members

Job Requirement
Your Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience developing WordPress applications.
- Experience with modern front-end development: HTML, CSS, Responsive Web Design, Performance Optimization, and Accessibility.
- Experience and solid knowledge of PHP and OOP principles.
- Successful track record of developing quality software products and shipping production ready software with solid understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) model
- Complete understanding of the WordPress core software and its functions at the code level.
- Strong BE WordPress experience, solid knowledge of WordPress plugins implementation and proficiency in integrating third party APIs.
- Familiarity with popular WordPress Plugins and the ability to customize based on client needs.
- Be able to write WordPress code from scratch rather than tweaking WordPress plugins.
- Proficiency in front-end development
- Understanding of WordPress coding best practices.
- WordPress/Programming security best practices.
- Extensive knowledge of internal SEO optimization
- Familiar with source control systems (Git or SVN), Agile/scrum, CI/CD
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing in English
- Experience working with external clients
