• Design and develop advanced applications for the Java platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, rectify bugs and improve application performance.
• Create user and technical documentation
• Mentor & train junior engineers in the team on adopting right engineering practices

Responsibilities/ Daily tasks you will take care:
• Design and develop advanced applications for the Java platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, rectify bugs and improve application performance.
• Create user and technical documentation
• Mentor & train junior engineers in the team on adopting right engineering practices

Requirements/ Desired skills and experience
• Computer science, software engineering, information technology graduate, or similar.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in development with Java technology.
• Experience of gathering requirements from end user
• Ability to transform user requirements to system requirements
• Ability to design the system that meets user requirements
• Working Experience in J2EE platform in one of the following environments
• Apache HTTP Server, JBoss Application Server, Oracle database
• Relational databases like DB2, SQL Server, Oracle
• Application servers like Websphere, Weblogic or equivalent
• Familiar with: Open-source frameworks/technologies such as Spring, Angular, Node.JS, Hibernate, Apache Spark; Content/documents management, workflow/case management; DevSecOps and tools used.
• Experience in integration with Mainframe system (Optional)
• Deep understanding of Object Oriental Programming, Data Structures & Algorithms.
• Experience with source code control systems such as SVN, CVS or Git.
• Knowledge of security and experience in writing secure and efficient codes.
• Experience in implementing & maintaining Continuous Integration and Deployment process.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Must have: Good English communication

Bonus points if:
• Candidate has active Github and/or Stack Overflow profile.
• Knowledge of the performance tools and optimization techniques.
• Strong knowledge of patterns, and best practices.
