Overview of job

JOB PURPOSE 

• Not just to make our product beautiful—but to discover the right product 
• Continuously collaborate with product managers and engineers—from discovery to delivery. 
• Be deeply oriented around actual customers and the value their product brings to those customers. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Create a design layout to determine the best product & employ design concepts into functional prototypes 
• Present product ideas to relevant team members for brainstorming 
• Perform research on product technologies and structures to implement into design concepts 
• Coordinate with designers to ensure accurate communication and efficiency in the design phase 
• Maintain up to date on current industry trends and market conditions; while researching tools, materials, and relevant design techniques. 
• Modify and revise existing designs to meet customer expectations 
• Producing prototypes and models to test functionality. 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Distill broad, conceptual ideas into practical and engaging interfaces Ability to use prototypes as their primary canvas for communicating ideas, both internally and externally. 
• Identify high-impact opportunities, design features in pursuit of goals, and explain the rationale of your decisions. 
• Advocate for our diverse customer base with hard data and in-depth research to help meet their unique needs. 
• Plan, prioritize coordinate, and conduct behavioral analysis, user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, and usability testing.

• Give & solicit feedback from designers and engineers in order to continually raise the bar for quality. 
• Prototype experiences at a variety of fidelities for validation. 
• Actively involved in defining product strategy. 

Usability/Value testing 

• Be constantly testing the design ideas with real users and customers; to constantly validate and refine ideas as well as collect new insights they might not have been looking for. 
• Support Product Manager/Strategy team on market research to determine gaps in the market Translating research into feasible ideas and designs that will satisfy consumers. 
• Engaging audiences and using sketches, blueprints, and prototypes to gather feedback. Advocate for our diverse customer base with hard data and in-depth research to help meet their unique needs. 
• Plan, prioritize coordinate, and conduct behavioral analysis, user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, and usability testing. 
• Ensure consistency across all of our products & integrations by adhering to our design system standards and making updates when necessary. Work with engineering, product management, data, marketing, etc. to eliminate inconsistencies. 
• Give & solicit feedback from designers and engineers in order to continually raise the bar for quality. 
• Prototype experiences at a variety of fidelities for validation.
