ELCA Vietnam
As a General Accountant, you will:
› Make petty cash and bank payments
› Check purchase proposals and payment requests to make sure documents follow company policies, the Vietnamese Accounting Standard, and tax regulations
› Maintain the fixed assets and small equipment inventory
› Do bookkeeping and input journal entries into the accounting software
› Prepare monthly closing and perform monthly reconciliation of general ledger account
› Maintain and organize accounting documents orderly and in compliance with record & information management standards
› Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annually, audited financial statement reports to the Tax authority, Statistics Department, Department of Planning and Investment
› Prepare monthly variance analysis reports between budget and actual figures
› Assist internal and external auditors
› Prepare VAT refund documents and work with Tax Authorities in case of issues and inquiries
› Prepare and recommend financial policies and procedures by analyzing accounting options
› Research, analyze, and interpret changes in tax legislation
› Provide guidance to senior management on tax-related matters
› Assist staff with business travel arrangements.
› Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance
› 5 years of working experience as a General Accountant
› Careful, agile, honest, reliable, punctual, and paying attention to details
› Ability to organize data, files, and other information
› Advanced knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards and the prevailing tax regulations
› Teamwork spirit, responsible, and ability to work independently
› Master the MS office suite, in particular Excel
› Good English communication skills. French would be a plus.
