Job description

Overview of job

Administer and monitor existing production systems and networks to ensure stability and reliability, addressing any issues that arise.
Keep our platform secure by providing recommendations for software patching procedures and security monitoring tools.
Build, deploy, and maintain software deployment and configuration management scripts to simply and reliably deploy our software suite to any environment.
Build, deploy, and maintain data collection and monitoring tools across environments to understand the root causes of instability and high cost infrastructure components.
Learn and analyse new technologies and industry best practices to identify suitability for adoption by the operations and development teams.

Job Requirement

A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent training/experience) in Software/Computer/Network Engineering
5+ years of technical experience
Strong hands-on experience working in production environments for administration and monitoring
Experience with traditional software platforms based on Windows, COM, .NET (C#) and SQL Server
Experience with server administration in a Cloud environment, ideally AWS
Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and open source tools
Experience with scripting languages, such as Powershell on Windows or Python on Linux
Demonstrated success in improving stability and reducing costs in a production software environment
Experience working in a Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment environment and familiarity with DevOps practices
