Job Summary

Involving in data science/AI projects from beginning to delivery.
Analyzing, proposing, developing, and evaluating solutions to solve our clients’ business problems.
Collaborating with our PMs or other stakeholders to define project plan/ roadmap.
Collecting, cleaning, and preparing datasets for modeling.
Deploying and monitoring the AI systems.
Continuously learning to keep up with the rapid changes in the field of AI.

Specific requirements:

At least 5+ years of experience with programming in Python.
Experienced in working with LLM models, especially GenAI models.
Experienced in working with cloud computing services (MS Azure, AWS…)
Experienced with AI/ML algorithm research & development, preferably NLP field.
Possessing excellent communication skills in English, (communicating sufficiently in Japanese is a plus).
Having a sufficient background in Mathematics, or Statistics.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, being able to formulate AI solutions from business requirements.
Being a good team player, willing to provide support to other members if needed.
Being flexible to participate in different parts of a project if required
Experience in developing systems with database
Hands-on experience with relational databases (RDB).
Ability to design databases, including table structures, normalization, and indexing.
Understanding of system development processes
Familiarity with the full development lifecycle: requirements definition, basic design, detailed design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
Experience in creating design documents
Ability to create various design documents such as basic and detailed design specifications, database design documents, and test plans.
Problem-solving skills for system issues
Ability to investigate and identify root causes of system failures or issues based on observed phenomena.

Preferable qualifications:

Having a passion for the educational field.
Experienced in developing or researching algorithms in the educational field.
Experienced in modeling learning behavior data.
Having an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or relevant fields.
Being familiar with designing REST APIs.
Having a great desire to study the most leading-edge research.
Experience with cloud-based development
Development experience using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of system security
Understanding of common web vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS) and experience in implementing countermeasures.
Experience in team-based development
Familiarity with version control tools like Git and collaborative development workflows.
Experience with code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
User-oriented development mindset
Ability to design and improve systems based on user needs and usage scenarios.
Documentation skills
Ability to clearly document specifications and designs for smooth handover and team collaboration.
Proactive in identifying and solving problems
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies
