Technology Responsibilities
- You will work with the team to create solutions for our most important and meaningful technical problems as they relate to scaling, and executing on building our products;
- You will offer mentorship and direction for technical design and implementation;
- You will assess the value of new technologies.
Management Responsibilities
- We will work together to build a positive culture in line with Launch Deck’s Core Values that drives successful results, employee happiness and retention;
- You will lead multiple software engineering teams, potentially in multiple geographies;
- You will build a team, recruit and train others to recruit, and oversee a recruiting pipeline;
- You will grow the people on your team through onboarding, mentoring and coaching, goal setting and performance management;
- You will evolve product development process to optimize productivity, quality and schedule accuracy;
- You will technical design and project delivery across multiple teams;
- You will support production operations for the software your team delivers.

Your Skills and Experience
- Experience with large-scale consumer-facing web sites, and experience with two-sided marketplace businesses is a major plus;
- Experience with service-oriented architectures and microservices, data science and machine learning, cloud IaaS and PaaS;
- Experience with Rover’s technology stack or similar: Amazon Web Services, Python / Django, Docker, Elastic Search;
- You have 5+ years experience managing engineering organizations including experience managing managers as well as individual contributors;
- Success building talented engineering teams including success growing engineering teams from less than 40 to over 100 people;
- A thorough understanding of progressive development practices and how to adapt them appropriately;
- You have experience managing multiple engineering teams in multiple locations including in-house, near- and offshore;
- You enjoy learning and have a degree in CS, STEM or equivalent experience.
