The Position:
We are looking for a seasoned Director of QA who will work directly with the company’s executive team, to ensure we are developing and delivering amazing technologies and software products for the market. This role will help shape Company’s QA processes and assure OPSWAT products/ technologies are being developed and released at the international quality standards. He / She will work closely with the release management team to ensure efficient and reliable software release schedule. This position will be responsible and manage QA teams who work as OPSWAT product specific experts as well as cross products and platforms.
The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and self-starter who can drive execution and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with efficiency and effectiveness. This leadership role needs to be highly experienced in setting up the formal QA process, especially in the regression testing and test result analyst communication area, can and be willing to take responsibilities in issues and provide fast reactions. We are looking for candidates that are able to demonstrate vision and strategy, create and own the quality of the portfolio of all OPSWAT products and services.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Recruit, mentor and empower QA teams to achieve their goals with quality
- Create and own the quality of the portfolio of all OPSWAT products and services
- Lead the QA department and act as the last check point for releasing OPSWAT products and services
- Build and manage Centers of Excellence around QA automation
- Lead effort around CI/CD to support both existing as well as emerging product lines
- Lead the performance testing, regression testing effort for the portfolio of products
- Productize testing and socialize with both upstream and downstream teams
- Encourage teams to own, troubleshoot & resolve product defects
- Work with release management team to ensure all OPSWAT product release schedule is built and executed reliably

Your Skills and Experience
What We Need from You:
- 8+ years’ experience leading a quality assurance focused organization, software industry experience is preferred
- Proven track record working with global development, Product Management and support organizations
- Strong knowledge in software quality assurance, including processes, tools, techniques and metrics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills
- Experience with short release cycles, the full software lifecycle, and experience working on a product that’s been released for public consumption
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and project management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
- Have a modern development experience and mindset, understand and experience in CI/CD process and be able to support development team from quality assurance angle
- Ability to mentor engineers and help them arrive at the optimal solution
- Experience with performance testing and regression testing
- Experience with REST API utilization and SDK integration
- Experience in hiring smart, talented engineers
It Would Be Nice If You Had:
- Quality assurance experience on modern software development (front-end, back-end, databases)
- Experience with microservice, virtualization and orchestration
- Solid understanding of interoperability issues and the strengths and weaknesses of certain cloud service / platforms
- Cyber security domain experience, including file security, device security, network security and etc.
- Knowledge of international and/or industry standards/ models in quality management such as ISO9001, CMMI, PMBOK…
- Ability to travel internationally
