• Create solutions that meet approved standards and reduce the number of exceptions by proactive roadmap and investment prioritization with stakeholders
• Lead applications platform maturity by applying industry best practices and technical due diligence.
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the solution domain to implement the most current and relevant solutions.
• Ensure that applications platform’s performance meets or exceeds operational metrics for scalability, security, compliance, performance and quality in accordance with negotiated service level agreements.
• Guide project teams to ensure the consistency of their components to the overall business capability, IT product architecture, and IT roadmaps
• Drive the assessment and resolution of software, hardware, or process defects discovered throughout the pre-launch, post-launch, and quality review processes.
• Any ad-hoc duties as required.
• This is a sole contributor role.

Required Skills
Must have
• IT degree with at least 5 years of work experience in large organizations as a solution architect with knowledge of various network architectures.
• Proven track record in designing complex, mission critical applications that meet or exceed operational metrics for scalability, security, compliance, performance and quality is a must.
• Must be familiar with Industry 4.0 (cyber-physical) and Internet of Things (IoT) particularly in relation to the installation of following:
o Sensors/Trackers (temperature, pitch, roll, GPS, BLE, LoRa etc.)
o Cameras (videos & stills)
o Motion detectors
o Dispensing/Vending machines
o Hot bonders
o Calibration equipment
o Has good understanding of software, hardware and process aspects of an application project to drive the assessment and resolution of any of such defects discovered during any phase of the applications development, including post-launch.
o Strong drive for result.
o Strong and effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
o Ability to deal with and resolve complex problems

Preferred skill
Significant experience in the following areas is preferred:
• Experience working in large scale Java/ J2EE enterprise systems, including various integration technologies such as User Interface on Java technology on service recovery application, creating Restful API / Webservices, integrating Microservices with web and mobile applications
• Experience with Object oriented design and system architecture for web applications
• Experience working with relational and non-relational Databases (eg, MariaDB, Oracle, MySQL).
• Follow Agile Software methodologies for development.
• Conscientious and proactive in learning all aspects of the solution domain as well as creating solutions that meet approved standards and developing roadmap that reduce the number of exceptions.

Nice to have
• Experience in automated deployment to Cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Experience with Redhat Openshift Containers deployment will be a plus.
• Working knowledge with interacting with API gateway.
• Airline or travel domain experience.
• Has experience in doing automated testing using Junit, Selenium, Cucumber tool suite.
• Development experience using tools such as Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins and Code Quality Dashboard such as SonarQube.
• Certification in Professional Scrum Developer or Certified Scrum Developer or Oracle Certified Java Programmer.
