We are currently recruiting for Software Team Lead to take local operational team lead responsibilities. Key to the role is ensuring a high-quality service and product is delivered to the customers, and the communication with other parts of the business located overseas.
The role is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and requires once or twice a year overseas travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Local line manager leading and mentoring a team of software engineers
- Key person involved in hiring to interview, test and settle developer s, testers and other engineering roles at a pace and quality required by the company
- Responsible for ensuring local SDLC processes are compliant with Hansen methods
- A key communicator, proactively smoothing and arranging knowledge-sharing activity
- Promoting and implementing software and operational initiatives
- Comfortable and effective leading within a matrix organisation
- Helping establish new procedures and enforce existing processes and procedures.
- Assisting with leave management.
- Promoting team building exercises.
- Assisting with career building.
- Responsible for quarterly staff reviews.
- Assisting with expense approvals.

Your Skills and Experience
Minimum Experience:
- 7+ years in software development of commercial business systems
- 3+ years’ experience managing teams over 10 technical resources in a Scrum/Agile environment
- Relevant and current experience in a leadership role developing enterprise applications as part of an internationally distributed team
Must-Have Skills
- Strong people management skills, communication skills and relationship skills
- Extensive software engineering experience
Preferred Skills
- University degree in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent field.
- Billing or CIS/CRM experience is desirable
- Java or PL/SQL technical skill is a plus
